CALL FOR SITES 2015 |
We want to hear from you if you have a potential site(s) for any kind of use, including housing, traveller pitches, employment and retail development and leisure and community facilities, etc. Such sites will help us to understand the location, capacity and availability of land for development so that we can begin to make decisions on future allocations in the new Local Plan.
For more infomation please go to our New Single Local Plan web page.
We prepare, monitor and review planning policies for the Borough of Dacorum. The Local Planning Framework aims to regulate the development and use of land, promote quality of life, meet local needs and find a balance between the demand for development and the protection of the environment.
Local Planning Framework
The Local Planning Framework is a series of documents which are gradually replacing the Local Plan adopted in 2004 (plan period 1991-2011). Many of the policies within the Local Plan have been ‘saved’ and will continue to inform planning policy until they are formally replaced or cancelled under the Local Planning Framework. The Local Plan 2004 should be read alongside the Core Strategy adopted in September 2013 (plan period 2006-2031) for a complete picture of current planning policy.
The Local Planning Framework documents consist of the:
