Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) is a project plan that sets out the timetable for preparation of Local Development Documents (LDDs) that form our Local Planning Framework.

It aims to provide a point of reference for the community to find out about our planning policies and sets out the programme for production of new and/or more detailed planning policies in the form of LDDs. In addition, it prioritises the preparation of documents in order to foster effective use of resources.

The LDS is available as a report:  Local Development Scheme (LDS) 2016 (PDF 700KB)
