Commercial waste
We offer reliable and affordable commercial waste collection for your business. Our service can be tailored to fit your business needs and help you meet your legal responsibilities.
By law (Environmental Protection Act 1990), all businesses must properly dispose of their waste and keep records. The Right Waste, Right Place website provides useful information to help businesses comply with the law.

Waste containers
We provide a range of container sizes to suit your businesses needs. If these sizes don't suit you, please contact our Commercial Waste Officer.

We offer flexible services where bins can be emptied daily (Monday to Saturday), weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Extra collections can be requested for an additional fee.

Commercial waste sacks
If your business produces fewer than four waste sacks per week, our commercial waste sacks may be the best option. They are perfect for businesses with limited space for a container.
The price of the sacks includes collection, disposal and duty of care for the waste. Since they are prepaid, you only put out waste when needed.
Sacks are available at all council offices and the Cupid Green Depot for £120 per roll of 50 sacks (as of 1 April 2024).
Commercial recycling service
We are rolling out commercial waste recycling in phases:
- Phase 1: Recycling collections for current recycling customers
- Phase 2: Expanding recycling services to current waste collection customers who don’t yet recycle
- Phase 3: Offering recycling collection to all businesses in the borough.
