Special parking permits
If your needs don’t match the normal permit criteria, we may be able to grant you a special permit. For instance, if your health means that you depend on visits from family carers on a regular basis, and you need a permit for them to use when they visit, we may be able to help.
When you apply for a special permit you will need to provide evidence which supports the need for regular visits by a carer, a letter from a doctor may be sufficient.
Special permits are counted as one of the three resident permit allocation and are charged at the same rate:
- First permit: £40
- Second permit: £60
- Third permit: £80
