Installing solar panels and producing renewable electricity for your home or business will not only reduce your carbon footprint, but you will also be playing an important part in supporting the borough, and the whole of the UK, in reaching its net-zero carbon target of 2050.

We've partnered with independent experts in group-buying, iChoosr Ltd, to introduce this opportunity to Dacorum homeowners.

Solar Together Hertfordshire is an innovative new scheme offering solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and battery storage. It is a group-buying scheme, which brings Hertfordshire households together to get solar panels at a competitive price, helping you through the process and keeping you informed at every stage.

Please note: Dacorum Borough Council's role in the scheme is limited to promotion only. Once registered, you will deal directly with the pre-vetted installers.

The scheme is currently closed. However, you can still register your interest for future schemes:

You can also register to have battery storage added to your existing solar panels to maximise the benefits of your system.

Planning permission

Solar PV installations are considered a 'permitted development' and will generally not need planning permission. However, in some cases, planning permission may be required. Find out more about solar panel installation.
