Letting or selling your leasehold property

Letting your property

As the leaseholder, you are free to let out your property as a landlord, subject to certain conditions:

  • Please let us know that you are renting out your property
  • Do give us your new address and phone numbers
  • Do provide contact details for your tenants, any key holders and your managing agent if you are using one, as we need to be able to contact them if there are any problems with the flat, such as a burst water pipe
  • Do make sure that your tenants keep to the terms of the lease, as you are responsible for their actions.

For further guidance on letting your property and your landlord responsibilities, please read the following document:  Letting your leasehold property (PDF 197KB).
