Environmental permit register

Industrial processes have the potential to release pollution to air, land and water and cause damage to the environment and human health. For this reason many industrial processes are required by law to operate in accordance with Environmental Permits that place conditions on their operation in order to minimise the release of pollutants.

It is a requirement of the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 for Dacorum Borough Council to maintain a Public Register of Permits for those businesses within the Borough, for which we are responsible.

Part A2 and Part B processes

There are currently no Part A2 processes permitted to operate in Dacorum. The following Part B processes are permitted to operate:

Part A1 Processes

Part A1 Processes are permitted and regulated by the Environment Agency. You can identify the presence of any Part A1 Processes in Dacorum via the public register for environmental information.
