Hemel Hempstead town centre vehicle access

A Marlowes Pedestrianisation Vehicle Permit (PVP) scheme has been introduced in the pedestrian area of Hemel Hempstead town centre to provide a safer environment for shoppers and preserve the paving. A one-way traffic system is in operation and unauthorised vehicles will be prevented from gaining access.

Entry through the automatic bollard will be for permit holders only using the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. Permits will be issued by us and must be requested no less than seven days in advance. It is essential you apply for your permit at the earliest opportunity.

Please note: permits will be granted only in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Dacorum Borough Council and are subject to the acceptance of strict terms and conditions - see below.

Any vehicles not adhering to the terms and conditions and plan below will have their permits immediately revoked and future applications refused.

Please read the terms and conditions document carefully. It provides clear advice on access for vehicles using the Marlowes pedestrian area. They should be read in conjunction with the plan, which clarifies where vehicles are and are not permitted.
