Activities and support around retirement and beyond
There are several organisations offering specific support to residents who are at, or approaching, retirement age and beyond. This includes those who have more time on their hands and are looking to get more involved in local groups, as well as organisations that offer support.
Some of the largest groups and organisations are listed below. They will be able to provide advice on other services, activities and support.

University of the Third Age (U3A)
Over 100 mutual interest and hobby groups covering art, history, games, languages, day trips and more.
Give your time and skills to support local community organisations.
Make, mend and learn alongside others at the Repair Shed, or access the Shopmobility scheme.
Access support
These organisations provide direct support, and are experts in what other help may be available in the local area.
Activity clubs, friendship teas, yoga and support such as handyperson and advice services.
