Parking permit and season ticket refunds

If you no longer need a permit and it has not yet expired, you may be able to get a partial refund. Partial refunds are not available for motorcycle permits. Refunds for visitor parking sessions or visitor vouchers are not available - please do not buy more than you need. 

We will work out your refund based on the complete months remaining before the permit expires. The amount of any refund is calculated in accordance with the contract on a pro-rata basis, taking into account administration costs, the cost of enforcement of the parking scheme, and the number of full months remaining on your permit before expiry.

How to apply

Please check the refund tables below to determine if a refund is due prior to application, which should be made in writing by post to: Parking Services, The Forum, Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1DN or by email to parking@dacorum.gov.uk stating the permit number, zone/car park, your name, your address, the date on which you want the permit to be cancelled, your bank sort code and account number.

Once a refund has been authorised, our Finance Department will arrange the payment. Typically, this will take up to 28 days for a refund to be processed and your account credited.
