What happens after you make an information request
We will reply within 20 working days of receiving your request. If we need you to clarify the request, the 20-day period will resume when we receive the clarification.
If there is a fee for the information, the 20-day time limit will stop until you have paid the fee.
If we refuse your request
We will only refuse or partially refuse a request for information if an exemption applies.
If we refuse your request, we will explain why and tell you which exemption applies. If you are not happy with our decision, you can ask for an internal review.
To do this, email foi@dacorum.gov.uk and say you would like an internal review of our response to your request.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the internal review, you can ask the Information Commissioner to review our decision.
