Taxi and private hire licensing policy review

Our taxi and private hire licensing policy sets out our approach to regulating taxi and private hire services in the borough. Our primary concern is public safety and, through this policy, we aim to both reduce potential risks associated with taxi and private hire services and provide transparency and consistency for anyone with an interest.

Current stage of review

The draft policy was subject to an extensive consultation, which closed on 4 January 2021. The responses to the consultation are being compiled and will be presented to a future meeting of the Licensing and Health and Safety Enforcement Committee for consideration.
