Fix it, don’t bin it

Zero Waste Day 7 September 2021

As part of Zero Waste Week (6 - 10 September 2021) we are holding a Zero Waste Day on Tuesday 7 September (11am to 3pm).

Join the Environmental Projects team on the Rainbow Stage in Hemel Hempstead town centre, where we will be showcasing ideas to reduce waste.

Discover more about the Herts reusable nappy scheme where Hertfordshire residents can get exclusive discounts. Learn more about reusable period products, get tips on reducing food waste on our Love Food, Hate Waste page, find out about Refill Hertfordshire, play the recycling game to test your recycling knowledge, plus much more.

We will also be joined by Hemel Hempstead tailors, Top Stitch. IT will be offering a 20 per cent discount on alterations and repairs to give your clothes a new lease of life. As well as getting your clothes fixed or altered for less, you can also watch the skilled tailors in action and learn a new skill.

Places are limited, so email recycle@dacorum.gov.uk to book at the earliest opportunity.
