Your Council Tax 2021-2022

We are committed to providing a high standard of service to our residents, despite continued reductions in funding and changes to the way we deliver some of our services due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To allow us to maintain our services at this level, the amount of Council Tax we charge will be increasing this year.

We collect your Council Tax on behalf of Dacorum Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire and the parish and town councils. Council Tax rises are set individually by each of these organisations.

We have raised our share of Council Tax by 2.42 per cent, which equates to £5 per year for a band D property. We receive 11 per cent of the Council Tax you pay, which enables us to provide a wide range of services. You will receive your personal Council Tax bill for 2021-2022 in the post soon.

Warning signCoronavirus (COVID-19): We continue to provide services online and via telephone. However, we recognise that, in some cases, you will need an appointment with an officer so we offer limited pre-booked appointments at the Forum for urgent enquiries. You may experience longer waiting times or an online response due to increased demand on our services. Please call 01442 228000 and ask for the service you require. For council service updates and other advice, please see our COVID-19 page×
