Friends of Jellicoe Water Gardens
The Friends of the Jellicoe Water Gardens are an enthusiastic group of volunteers who are dedicated to celebrating this gem in the centre of Hemel Hempstead. Their aim is to encourage the use and enjoyment of the Water Gardens by local people and visitors and develop and maintain a safe, beautiful and wildlife rich environment.
They helped with the plans to restore the Gardens, joining in with the gardening and sharing the Gardens' history and heritage. They were also instrumental in our successful Heritage Lottery bid, even starring in a short film that was presented during the bid process. The Friends were filmed in the Water Gardens talking about the restoration project and the importance of the Gardens to Hemel Hempstead. You can watch the video on YouTube.
