Call for potential development sites

During 2014 and 2015 we invited the public, developers and landowners to submit details of sites that they considered suitable for development over the next 20 years or more. Site suggestions were invited for a range of developments, including housing, employment, retail and leisure.

Not all sites and designations can be taken forward. They have to meet requirements in national planning policy and local policy set out in our Core Strategy. In the case of housing sites, only larger sites above 0.3 hectares or 10 or more dwellings could be assessed as possible allocations.

2014 call for sites

Alongside new sites we also invited suggestions for changes or additions to a range of designations shown on the Local Plan Proposals Map.

The sites put forward were all appraised for suitability for inclusion in the Pre-Submissions Site Allocations DPD.

Please see below for a summary list of responses received.
