We have four adventure playgrounds across the borough, which cater for six to 12-year olds (children under six are welcome when accompanied by an adult). They are a safe environment for children to meet, play and learn. They are managed and supervised by a team of qualified staff and provide a secure and stimulating environment for all children, including those with special needs and disabilities. Please remember that the playgrounds are run as open access facilities, which means that children are not restricted and can come and go as they wish.
Facilities at our adventure playgrounds include:
- Football pitch
- Wooden climbing frames
- Zip wire
- Skate ramp
- Xbox and PlayStations
- Table football
- Table tennis
- Pool table
- Tuck shop
- Free craft sessions during holidays
- Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 6.30pm
- Saturday 11.30am to 5pm
- Closed on Sundays
- Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm
The adventure playgrounds are closed at weekends during the school holidays, and will also be closed the weekend before and the weekend after the holidays.
Have your own adventure
The four adventure playgrounds are available to hire outside normal opening hours. Ideal for birthday parties, family gatherings and school events.
The cabins are equipped with pool and table tennis tables and each adventure playground has its own unique outside sports area and wooden play structures.
Although there will be a member of staff on the premises, parents are responsible for their children and guests at all times.
The adventure playgrounds are available for hire when not open to the public:
- Monday to Friday: 9am to 3pm
- Sunday: 9.30am to 5pm
- Saturday: 9.30am to 5pm
- Sunday: 9.30am to 5pm

All playgrounds are registered under the Children's Act 1989 and inspected by Ofsted. They are managed and supervised by a team of qualified staff and provide a secure and stimulating environment for all children, including those with special needs and disabilities.
Please remember that the playgrounds are run as open access facilities which means that children are not restricted and can come and go as they wish.
Healthy snacks and refreshments can be bought at the tuck shops or your children can bring their own food and drink.
On your first visit, parents or carers must complete a registration form in full.
