Bins and recycling
The green wheeled bin is due to start collection again soon
The garden waste collections will start again in mid-February, after the two month planned break from green wheeled bin collections.
The garden waste calendars will be delivered as bin hangers from 2 February. The garden waste collection calendar needs to be used alongside the waste collection calendar that you received last year with the new blue lidded bin.
The green wheeled bin is for garden waste only. Cardboard can be placed in the blue lidded bin and food waste in the kerbside caddy.
For one half of the borough, garden waste collections will begin week starting 16 February and for the other half it will begin the week after (23 February). You can check the collection day for any of your bins on the bin collection postcode checker by pressing the button below:

Household Waste Recycling Centres day changes
There are planned changes for the opening times of all Household Waste Recycling Centres in Hertfordshire starting from January 2015. Please visit the Recycling Centres page for more information.
Your new Recycle for Dacorum service started on 24 November 2014
The bins were delivered together from 20 October until 23 November. There should have been an information pack and calendar attached to the blue lidded bin. Your collection day may change so be sure to check your calendar.

Waste collection calendars
You should have a waste collection calendar for the collection of your blue lidded wheeled bin, kerbside caddy and grey wheeled bin for November 2014 to November 2015. Your garden waste calendar will be delivered as a bin hanger in January 2015.
If you do not have a calendar go to our waste collection calendars page to view yours.
Order a kitchen caddy
Every household in the borough is entitled to one free kitchen caddy if you have not already received one. The caddy will help to separate food waste in the kitchen. It can then be emptied into either your home compost bin or into the kerbside caddy for weekly collection.
