We will endeavour to keep children, young people and adults at risk safe from abuse and suspicion of abuse, reports will be responded to promptly and appropriately. We will act in the best interest of the child, young person or adult at risk and we will proactively seek to promote the welfare and the protection of all children, young people and vulnerable adults living in the community at all times.

We will ensure that unsuitable people are prevented from working with children, young people and adults at risk through our Safe Recruitment procedures and will take any concern reported by a Member, employee, volunteer, grant funded or contracted service provider or child/adult at risk seriously and deal with it sensitively.

We will not tolerate harassment of any Member, employee, volunteer, grant funded or contracted service provider or child/adult at risk who raises concerns of abuse and it will be addressed through the most appropriate course of action or under the most appropriate policy.
