Filming in Dacorum
Dacorum offers a wide range of filming locations from quaint towns and villages and beautiful parks to modern towns and business parks - and is conveniently located close to world-class filming studios, making it a fantastic place to film.
We welcome film and TV companies to the area and recognise the benefits that filming and film tourism can bring to the economy. We also recognise that we have to balance this with the needs of our residents and local businesses and the use of our public resources. This means that we may not always be able to accommodate all filming requests, or may need to restrict filming activities to particular days and/or times to minimise the impact. We will tell you as soon as possible should this be the case.
Productions filmed in Dacorum include:
- After Life
- Endeavour
- A Confession
- Bohemian Rhapsody
- The Favourite
- Grantchester
- Killing Eve
We can provide the help and support that is needed to help you find the best location for your production.

Fees and charges
There is a minimum administration fee of £125 plus VAT for all filming applications - this will vary, dependant on application and resource availability.

- between one and four hours - £470 plus VAT
- Half day (four to six hours) - £800 plus VAT
