We’re revising our Statement of Community Involvement and are inviting feedback on the changes proposed in a new draft document over a six-week period.
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is a document that outlines our standards for involving the community in the planning process and identifies the ways it will achieve these standards. It sets out how and when we will involve different groups, organisations and the community when we produce planning documents and determine planning applications.
It covers the whole of the borough.
We adopted our current Statement of Community Involvement in July 2016 and it requires updating to ensure that it reflects new Government requirements and the increasing use of electronic communication.
The revised document is available to view online on our Statement of Community Involvement page. Hard copies are also available to view at Council offices in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring and at libraries in the borough.
Comments on changes proposed in the document are invited and must be received by midnight on Sunday 14 April 2019.
Further details of the revisions and how to submit comments are available on our Statement of Community Involvement page.
