Fairtrade town identityDacorum Borough Council is committed to supporting Fairtrade and was involved in Hemel Hempstead's bid to become a Fairtrade town.

Hemel Hempstead's Fairtrade Town status was awarded in August 2009.

We also continue to support Tring and Berkhamsted, who gained Fairtrade Town status in 2007.  With all three towns now Fairtrade, the aim is to gain Fairtrade Borough status for Dacorum.

As awareness of Fairtrade is heightened, demand for products is growing.  Why not become a Fairtrade retailer, caterer or business? It couldn't be easier. All you have to do is commit to stocking or serving a minimum of two Fairtrade lines. Businesses can supply Fairtrade refreshments to employees and clients - with a major supplier of Fairtrade coffee here in Dacorum, everything you need is right on your doorstep.

The Fairtrade Directory is a comprehensive guide of Fairtrade retailers, businesses, cafes, restaurants, takeaways, schools and faith communities in Dacorum. You can view the Fairtrade Directory for Hemel Hempstead and surrounding villages online here, or you can download the directory as a printable PDF below:
