Would you like free advertising?
Dacorum Borough Council is looking for
businesses in the Dacorum area that would like to receive free
advertising, free promotional material, and who want to help the
local community by offering a discount or privilege to Dacorum Card
holders.

What is the Dacorum Card?
The Dacorum Card is a free card that gives the
holder discounts and privileges. The scheme was started in December
1996 and there are currently over 10,000 Cardholders, and this
number is increasing all the time from the 25,000 people who are
eligible.
More than 190 local businesses are already
supporting the scheme and enjoying the free publicity. In fact, 85%
of the businesses offering a discount signed up for their third
year.
Who can get a Dacorum Card?
Residents of Dacorum who are receiving means
tested benefits are eligible to claim their Dacorum Card. Proof of
eligibility is shown to Dacorum Borough Council before the Card is
issued. The Card, which is valid for one year, has the holder's
photograph on the front.
What's the catch?
There's no catch, and the commitment you choose
to make is entirely at your discretion. Joining the Dacorum Card
scheme is free. All we ask is that you offer a discount or
privilege to Dacorum Card holders and that your business features
in our advertising, at no cost.
