The Council Tax you pay funds services provided by Dacorum Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire Police Authority.

Although the Borough Council is responsible for collecting Council Tax, only 12p of every £1 we collect is kept by us to pay for Dacorum Borough Council services. The rest of what we collect goes to Hertfordshire County Council who receive 78p of every £1 and to Hertfordshire Police Authority who get a further 10p.

This section explains how to pay your Council Tax, how your Council Tax band is calculated, how much you’ll pay for your band depending on where you live and how to find out if you qualify for any reductions on your bill.
